Mountain Whitewater Paddleboard Trips in Fort Collins Magazine
Mountain Whitewater earned a mention in the latest issue of Fort Collins Magazine as part of a NOCO Bucket List article. The article, titled “The Official Love-Living-Here, Gotta-Do-It, Kick-A** NOCO Bucket List,” outlines 50 things to do in the Fort Collins area that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Activities on the list include visiting restaurants and breweries, wildlife viewing opportunities, arts and culture attractions, showing your Ram pride, music events, cycling opportunities and outdoor recreation options among others.
Mountain Whitewater was featured under option 14: “Paddleboard on Horsteooth Reservoir” for our guided paddleboard trips and paddleboard rentals. While whitewater rafting is still our core business, paddleboarding (also know as Standup Paddleboarding or SUP) has become a popular activity for the business as well. Paddleoarding is fun, great for fitness and provides opportunity to explore our waterways. The Cache La Poudre River also provides paddleboarding opportunities for the more the adventurous paddler. Also try our relaxing paddleboard yoga classes for another unique paddleboard activity.
Item number 47, “Rafting the Cache La Poudre River in June,” is another bucket list item that can be checked-off at Mountain Whitewater. This list item also includes a photo of one of our rafts navigating the river at Pine View Falls. Whether it by through our whitewater rafting adventures or our paddleboard offerings, we are quite happy to help folks check a couple of items off of there NOCO bucket list. Thanks to our friends at Fort Collins Magazine for mentioning our business in this entertaining and informative article.

We(a family of 5, the youngest 8) loooved our rafting experience with Mountain Whitewater! it was soo fun! We did the 1/2 day Plunge trip! Our guide, Forest, was sooo knowledgeable about the river and Colorado that it was enjoyable to talk to him…and he made us feel very safe which was great! 😉
“Perfect, exciting fun!!!”

Our guide Dave taught our group of 4 on the Ducky tour (like inflatable kayaks) how to ‘read the river’ and we all had a blast doing so!! Only one spill. Definitely worth it!!!
“Great Value, Hosts and Experience.”

This was my second rafting trip in Colorado, and turned out to be the greater experience. From a cost/value perspective the trip was 1/3 the cost of a similar full day trip, and covered twice as many river miles. Add in a nice scenic river run and a friendly and informative host (Tracey), and this made for a great day of rafting!

My husband and I did the 1/2 day trip, The Plunge. We have rafted in the past and this was by far our best experience yet! The company was very organized and everyone was genuinely friendly. Our guide, Kemper, was awesome, and made this day the highlight of our trip! A great value and love all the pictures. I highly recommend Mountain Whitewater and would request Kemper again.
“Great Experience”

We took 14 family members of our family on the 1/2 day Splash trip and had a terrific experience. The members of our group ranged in age from 13 to over 60 and everyone had a great time. Several members of the group were first timers while others had been rafting before but a good time was had by all. There was enough excitement for everyone to have fun but not so much that anyone was scared. I highly recommend this trip.

2011 Poudre River Cleanup a huge success!
Over 100 Volunteers Gather to Clean up the Cache la Poudre. p>
Over 100 volunteers gathered on Saturday May 21 to clean up the Poudre River. Volunteers not only filled a 300 yard dumpster, overflowing its capacity but also collected 150 gallons of glass and aluminum recycling! Mountain Whitewater would like to thank our co-sponsors Save the Poudre and City of Fort Collins Natural Areas. The Poudre river cleanup is part of the National River Cleanup through American Rivers.
This is Mountain Whitewater 12th annual river cleanup. We would also like to thank the local companies that helped to make the cleanup such a huge success including New World Sports who gather the collected garabge and took it to the dumps and Gallegos Sanitation for providing us with dumpsters.
With the support of these local sponsors the cleanup was efficient and fun! The river cleanup is about more than just cleaning up the banks, it’s about connecting the community with one of the most valuable resources for Fort Collins. The post party was a great way to celebrate the efforts of everyone. Mountain Whitewater hosted the thank you celebration following the cleanup. Food and Beer was provided by Back Country Provisions, Odell Brewing Co., Rio Grande and Marcos Pizza.
Thanks again to our fantastic sponsors and all of our volunteers for helping to celebrate our City’s treasure, the Cache la Poudre! We hope to see everyone again next year!!
